My Journey

My Journey

Chapter One

The World as My Teacher

Curiosity came first.

My journey began across cultures—from studying in Rome to earning an MBA in International Finance in Washington, D.C., and beginning a career in international business.

Living and working across different cultures taught me to look beyond the obvious, question assumptions, and remain curious.

That curiosity has shaped everything that followed.

Chapter Two

Building & Becoming

Ambition became my driver.

Los Angeles became the backdrop for the next chapter: a career spanning media, luxury, design and entrepreneurship.

I built businesses, led teams, developed brands and eventually founded and sold a company of my own. Along the way, I learned about ambition, resilience, risk—and the courage required to begin again.

Success taught me a great deal.

But life would teach me more.

Chapter Three

Motherhood

A different kind of leadership.

At 34, while working full time, I became a mother.

Raising my two sons, Laith and Seif, while navigating a demanding career reshaped my understanding of strength, presence and what truly matters.

Motherhood became one of my greatest teachers—and one of the most transformative roles of my life.

Chapter Four

The Wake-Up Call

At 44, everything became clearer.

Cancer changed the questions.

Achievement gave way to meaning. Certainty to vulnerability. What comes next? became How do I want to live?

Surviving cancer changed my relationship with time—and deepened my conviction that a meaningful life is about presence to the love around us and immense gratitude for all of it.

Some experiences change your circumstances.

Others change you.

Chapter Five

The Inner Turn

From achievement to alignment.

What began as personal exploration became a deeper study of how we live and why we change.

I immersed myself in psychology, mindfulness, resilience, health and human behavior, eventually discovering coaching—the place where my experience in business, leadership and life could meet something more purposeful.

I had spent decades helping build businesses.

Now I wanted to help build people.

Chapter Six

The Work Today

Helping others write what comes next.

Sherine El Gazzar seated in a white suit.

Today, as a Board Certified Coach, I work with executives, entrepreneurs and individuals at moments of growth, transition and reinvention.

I bring strategy, intuition and lived experience to the work—but above all, curiosity.

Because I don’t believe coaching is about telling someone who they should become.

It is about creating the space to discover what matters, let go of what no longer serves, and move forward with intention.

My own story continues to evolve.

And perhaps that is the point: we are never finished becoming.
